Recycled & Recyclable

Low impact development,
easy-to-install

Stabilises existing grass
& protects natural vegetation

As cities grow, they increase portion of their surface covered by impermeable materials. Our mission is to challenge conventional thinking and reduce the amount of concrete and asphalt laid on the surface of Australia.

We aim to:

  • Minimise the embodied carbon used to deliver infrastructure projects
  • Maximise the use of recycled/remanufactured substitute materials to create a truly circular economy.
  • Reduce Australian Industrial waste stockpile

Responsible Products Under GBCA

Green Star Recognition Update – thanks to GECA for their recent newsletter highlighted the work that is being done with the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA) in re-assessing the current GECA current standards for Responsible Product Framework.

Green Building Council of Australia seeks to reward those using products with a lower environmental and social impact.

TRUEGRID is proud to be a part of this process

as we continue to maximise the use of recycled product in infrastructure.

Our Recycling Policy

TRUEGRID is made from Recycled Post Consumer HDPE with UV Stabiliser added, the HDPE is sourced from water pipes used in mining, irrigation or city infrastructure. Off-cuts can be returned to us, placed in your local recycling bin, or returned to a specific HDPE pipe recycler for reuse.

OUR PACKAGING:

BOXES:
The boxes are made from 100% recycled content board grade 530-C(4) with Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) Chain-of-Custody certification FSC® Mix 70%. These boxes can be flattened and placed in your recycling bin. Our boxes are sealed with water activated tape that is fully recyclable.

PALLETS:
The timber source in the pallets we use is all from Forest Certification: 100% AFS/PEFC Certified-Certificate 603896 (AFS that is recognised under the Responsible Wood Certification Scheme)” Our timber pallets are only used by us once but we challenge you to see what great ideas you can find to reuse the timber. The stretch wrap used to protect the goods on our pallets can be recycled but will need to be taken to a plant that accepts LDPE film, if the plastic is placed in your recycle bin it will likely end up in landfill as Councils have no ability to recycle it currently. At TRUEGRID we are working with our manufacturing partners to source fully recyclable forms of Stretch Wrap for our pallets into the future.

TrueImpact Calculator

Measuring The Difference You Make

The TRUEGRID Online Calculator is a handy tool designed to help evaluate the environmental benefits of using TRUEGRID Permeable Pavers. The calculator provides carbon dioxide (CO2) reductions, the amount of plastic kept out of landfills, and stormwater detention capacities. By entering project details, users can calculate how much CO2 can be offset, visualise the amount of plastic saved and estimate stormwater retention for projects. The data supporting these calculations is based on concrete industry standards and environmental research, provide a clear picture of TRUEGRID’s positive environmental impact.
